Join us on a mesmerizing journey where poetry, music, and dance converge to illuminate the path to the Beloved.

Immerse yourself in the enchanting world of “The Conference of the Birds,” a Flamenco theater production inspired by the epic poem of the 12th-century Persian mystic, Attar.

The birds of the world gather to elect a leader to guide them on a journey to the great Simorgh – the Beloved. Each bird, representing an aspect of our human ego, finds an excuse to avoid the arduous journey; but ultimately, the birds go forth through the Seven Valleys to reach the Beloved.

Directed and choreographed by Susana di Palma, this unique Flamenco theater performance features original music by guitarist Juanito Pascual, verses transcribed and sung by Alfonso Cid, and percussion, voice, and dance by Jose Moreno. Additionally, guest artist Darrius Strong contributes choreographic elements, adding a dynamic touch to the performance. The stage will come alive with magical images by Jonathan Thunder, costuming by Candy Kuehn, and mesmerizing lighting by Mike Grogan, creating an atmosphere of mystery and magic.

Don’t miss the opportunity to witness the beauty of this original Flamenco creation, “The Conference of the Birds,” as it takes flight into the realms of mysticism and self-discovery.
