Mixed Precipitation is presenting a mini pop-up opera performance in June. This new work-in-progress features Baritone Mark Billy and a suite of tunes inspired by Don Quixote, including music by Maurice Ravel and Ruperto Chapí y Lorente.
We are collaborating with choreographer Colette Illarde and dancer Amanda Dlouhy of Zorongo Flamenco. Instrumentals Ben Abrahamson on guitar and Jason Kornelis on cello mix art song and Spanish Zarzuela. Performers Maje Adams, Barbara Berlovitz, Ariel Donahue, Jada Windom, and the student company dancers of Zorongo bring the stories and poetry to life.
