Longtime friend and artistic collaborator La Conja will be visiting Minneapolis this month and Zorongo is thrilled to hand the studio over to her for a workshop open to all intermediate/advanced flamenco dancers. This master class will cover upper body technique, including arms and torso, and footwork technique to build strength and speed in footwork. La Conja will also guide students in the art of improvisation and how to construct a solo de pies (footwork solo) to be used in different palos. Finally, the importance of compás will be emphasized and students will learn to accompany other dancers with palmas in a cuadro performance.
