BEGINNER ONE FLAMENCO (In-Studio)

March 15 @ 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every week that begins at 5:30 pm on Tuesday, repeating until March 22, 2022

Instructor: Christine Kozachock
Sub: Susana di Palma
(February 15)
Prerequisite: None

This is a fun immersion course for teenagers and adults who are new to flamenco, and for recent beginners. You will learn basic flamenco techniques – arms, footwork, turns, and palmas (handclapping) – and a simple flamenco choreography that incorporates those techniques. Students may wish to visit a Beginner Two or Intermediate flamenco class to see where these foundational skills will take you.

        • $60 for a four-class session (January & February) with no minimum to run the course.
        • $45 for a three-class session (March) no class on Mach 1, 2022.
        • $16 Drop-in fee per class if you are unable to commit to all four lessons.
        • All class payments must be made online. Payments will not be accepted in-studio.
        • There are no refunds for missed classes.

REGISTER for March Session (3/8 – 3/22) or Drop-in
REGISTER January Session (1/4 – 1/25) or Drop-in
REGISTER for February Session (2/1 – 2/22) or Drop-in

BEGINNER ONE AFTER-CLASS GUIDANCE

6:30 p.m. (15-minutes)*

        • Available for registered Beginner One Flamenco students. No additional fee.
        • * No after guidance on February 22 & March 1

The more you practice, the faster you will progress. To help you practice with confidence, the teacher will remain for 15 minutes after class to take questions. This is not a private tutoring session. Be prepared to ask about a specific step or technique that you want to get right before you practice at home.

COVID-19 Policy

Zorongo requires proof of vaccination (for all those eligible to be vaccinated) plus masks while in the studio. Proof of vaccination includes bringing a physical card or showing a digital photo of your vaccination card on the first day of your class.

Zorongo will follow CDC and the Minnesota Department of Health guidelines for being fully vaccinated.

If you need a mask break at any time during class, you will need to step outdoors. You may briefly remove your mask to drink water, but you must step away from the group at a distance of six feet or more. If your mask becomes wet during class, Zorongo has a supply of one-time-use masks in the studio.

To mitigate the risk of the Delta and Omicron variants’ transmission requires full cooperation among everyone who uses the studio. Thank you.
